Getting rid of ants?

Question:I have heard of a lot of ways to get rid of ants (using grits/salt kills them, and they dont cross baking soda) well the baking soda didnt work. so im wondering is there a way to get rid of ants without hurting my 2 cats who live outside, because the ants get into their food.

Answers:
first you need to place a small bowl with your cat's food into a bigger bowl with water in it, this way they can't get to the cat food. instead they drowned in the water, Also try throwing some rice out. ants will take it to there nest and share it with other ants. and they will blow up and die. You can also try coffee grounds.

ant spray.available at stores..if that doesn't work than call someone professional to come spray your whole house( it worked for me)
