Can you plant a vegetable garden on a drainfield for a septic tank?


Question:I live in rural central Virginia. We use well water.

Well just think about it. Im sure you can but do you want to keep your vegetables in whats not held in your septic tank. Basically your piss and water. Gross question!

You can, but, ummm, dont eat the veggies.
You dont have a garbage disposal in the kitchen right?...Because food in the septic tank kills the bacteria thats necessary in the tank.
Either way, vegetables and septic tanks dont mix.
