Snails?????

Question:I have a lot of snails in my yard that they slide all over my windows and leave their slime trails and dropping on the windows. I have put some snail powder killer in one area thinking that would rid them but it didn't. If I say I have lot its because I do because I have shells stuck between the bricks on my house. Can someone PLEASE help me? I want to plan for a landscape soon.
