100% Polyester Quilt - I washed and now it is ripped! Help.?

Question:I bought a really pretty quilt from Macy's and had it shipped to my home. It said I could wash on the delicate cycle in cold water, so I did. When I took it out, I noticed a small rip! I am not sure if it was there already or because I washed it. It was so pretty, but there were mixed reviews on the website. Should I have had this dry cleaned? Is that the best way to go? Or is there another way? My husband said I shouldn't have washed it, but that seems gross to put a blanket on the bed before washing it. What do you think?

You can go to a Macy's store with your receipt, and ask them for a refund or exchange. (Whichever you want) For a return, just explain to them the situation, and they should be able to either return the amount back to you in the original form of payment, which is probably credit card, or give you an EZ Exchange card (Store Credit). If the associate(s) give you a hard time, just ask for a manager. Hope it all works out for you.
