What are some good ways to clean/purify air in a room without special equipment?

Question:Does anybody know natural ways to make a room less "heavy" feeling, with less dust, and more clean oxygen?

I do not want to buy an air purifier on any special equipment; just everyday things I may have lying around the house.

Here are some ideas:

1. Vacuum regularly, especially if you have pets.
2. Clean you window screens.
3. Open you window every day for some fresh air, even if only for a few minutes.
4. Add some house plants.
5. Ceiling fans work very well to circulate air in a room.

There are several plants that have the properties of cleaning the air. But the dust is just something you'll have to do by hand or vacuum. Nothing you have lying around in your dusty cupboards will clean the house for you.
Open two windows, preferably on opposite sides of a room. This increases ventilation, blowing dust out. You can put a fan in the window as well, to speed up the process.

I am very familiar with that " heavy" feeling in the air, my room has two rodent cages in it. I do what I mentioned above and problem solved in about 15 minutes.
if what u wanna do is remove a smell, try using something called OZIUM. we used it once when my mom accidentally left a pot on the stove all night ( she thought she turned it off but she left it on low) u can find it at walmart and it leaves a fresh smell (not the fruity smell febreze or oust leave but just a fresh clean smell)

TRY IT!!
It's kind of hard to get rid of dust in a house since most of the dust around is dead human skin cells. You can always buy a better air filter for the air return on your central A/C system. Or you can use a loofa to get rid of the dead skins cells in the shower!
try a few plants that vent oxygen like spider plant..also a dish of vinegar in a higher spot takes out a lot of smells
