What happens a sunflower after it finishes flowering?

Question:i have a sunflower it has grown about 7/8 ft high and is just starting to flower, but what do you do in a while when it has finished flowering?

Answers:
i would leave it so the birds can eat the seeds after it has flowered or you could let it go to seed and harvest them for yourself , eat them or keep them to grow more flowers next year

I wait until the flower had dried and feed it to my hamster...
leave it where it is to allow the seeds to develope
Chop it down it will be dead. If you chop it down before it dies you can hang it upside down and dry it, or keep the seeds for next year or even eat them they are good for you.
the head wil go to seed, cut if off, nail to a tree to let the birds feed - they love it
Leave it, the head will go to seed and the birds will eat them,
it will drop its seeds and you'll end up with hundreds of new sunflowers.
