What plant or tree causes those dead dandelions in the air?

Question:They are all over here (in Michigan) and it kinda reminds me of snow - right with 84 degrees :-) Well anyway - I was just wondering because I'm sure they are affecting the pollen count somehow. Anyone have any ideas as to what this plant/tree is?

Answers:
cottonwood trees.that fluff is a cottonwood seed...hard to believe that little fuzzy thing carries all the info to build a big tree like a cottonwood.nature's wonders.

It's cottonwood trees (I corrected myself) & the only way to eliminate the mess is to have the tree(s) cut down if you have one in your own yard. What a nuisance those trees are, especially when one has a swimming pool. Yuk!
Larry's right.. thumbs up, Larry!
Yes, biker, you live by the BB it does that every year.
You must live down the street from me (in MI)...lol. We have those darn cottonwood seeds too. Even worse if you are the next door neighbor to one...and you have a pool (my in-laws have that scenario).
