John Deere, You will not be disappointed, plus if you take care of it, it will last for years. I just bought my second JDeere last year. The first one was purchased in 1971, and still runs great, I just wanted a bigger tractor.

Dude, I love my Deere! In the Consumers Report I read, Deere was considered to be the top of the line in most categories. I believe they are a tad more expensive but I found one that was just right for my 3 acres and I was willing to pay a couple hundred extra for it.

They even sent me a hat once I registered it. I feel like I'm part of the club! : )
Frankly, I never heard of simplicity. All I've ever heard of over the years is John Deere. Maybe you could ask the opinion of managers at Home Depot.
I found them here on ebay
well the simplicity are good and well built . I have not seen this years but the mower decks are better than Deere.
The new Deere are Ok they come out of MTD plant. After the big lumber stores started selling them they were cheapened up.But are still better than the MTD generics. Both will work for you .
I'd take the simplicity or a Toro tractor as both are heavy units .And have large available mower decks .
