How do we get rid of honey bees in our house?
Question:Our balconey has a medium sized whole (few inches) with honey bees swarming in and out, but we're positive that their honey bees.
But where their staying is above our ceiling, so we can't spray anything in it, because our ceiling might break, or have a whole in it, where bees could come inside our home.
Looking at the ceiling, you can hear the bees, and see spots where the ceiling is soft, and wet.
Would it be worth blocking the hole? There might be hundreds of bees in there, so they would probably slowly die.
please respond !

This has to be done by professionals and the clean up must be thorough or else absolute disaster will ensue. They will smoke them down to keep them calm. They will either poison them or sweep them into a box with the queen and relocate them. The entire nest area must be removed and cleaned up and this often includes drywall and ceiling damage. Sorry for the bad news but to cut corners here could make the house unliveable. Abandoned bee hives are full of stuff that can stink to high heaven as well as attract other infestations such as ants, flies or worse. My daughter says Winnie the Pooh...perhaps not.
Good Luck!
do not block the hole yet,go to the nearest farmers store and buy some apecide,it's a powder you squeeze into the hole,it's incredibly effective, when the bees die it'll be safe to repair the cieling
We used to keep bees. Follow mthourot1 advice. This is a job for professionals as you could be badly stung trying to do it yourself. Additionally mthourot1 is right about the smell of a dead beehive and the other unwanted critters it could attract. The hive must be cleaned out and the ceiling or whatever else is damaged repaired. Next time you see bee activity around your house, check it out and take care of it before it becomes a big problem.
