All Sorts of Flying Bug Problems!?

Question:For one thing, my bf goes in and out the back door to go smoke, so we get all sorts of things flying in that eventually have me jumping up on the chair shrieking at him to get rid of it... I thought a june bug was a cockroach and some big moths banging into the walls didn't help either. Also, something big, red, and kind of mean looking. We have a little bit of a wooded area outside the back door. On top of all that, we also have problems with tiny little flying things. Some of them look reddish/brownish with translucent wings. I'm thinking they're probably gnats or something. I can seal the house against crawling creepy critters (house has mostly ant and spider problems... seen a millipede or a beetle thing or two once or twice), but I don't know what to do with the flying ones! Help!!!

Answers:
Hang a fly strip outside the back door for the flying things,
Put moth balls under the house for spiders,
Sprinkle Ortho granules around the outside out line of your house this should help with ants and some of the other small crawly things then stay off caffeine you are just to jumpy.

You may not like this answer, but, here goes. Put up a bat house and they will take care of your night time bugs. They eat
hundreds of insects a night . . . each. I know, they are creepy.

OR - You could turn on a light away from the door to draw the bugs to it.
