HELP !!, am finding dozens of 'slaters' in the house. Small brown oval shaped insects, hard shells, 2 feelers

Question:They are turning my stomach!! Why have I got them.. and how do I get rid of them ?

Answers:
I think we use to call them potato bugs. I think they are dirt lovers, I sometimes find them near my plants. Here is a link with a picture and small description of them.
