There is no secret to growing pumpkins. They are easy to grow and common knowledge.
there's really no secret- all you do is plant the pumpkin seeds now and by october you will have pumpkins. i did it one year and i had to many pumpkins. you have to read the directions on the back of the seeds coz it depends on what kind you get.some are just ghords and some grow pretty big.
Growing pumpkins can be fun and easy. Give them plenty of room though. Plant them just as the instructions say on the back of the package. When they start growing and start to put out flowers, hopefully you will get some bees to pollentate them. Certain diseases can be common on pumpkins like rot or insect damage so watch them close. Water well. Pick the pumpkins when the stem of the pumpkin looks like it is dried out. Cut the stem from the vine with a knife to prevent damage to the rest of the plant.
3ft dia 2ft ft deep "mound'/hill, soil well mixed with composted manure

6ft dia 6ft deep mixed with manure can yield are 1337 lb pumpkin
Of course alternating planting spots is always helpful. Full sun helps too. I use goat manure to fertilize my soil, it works really well. Never over water.
I ended up with a 100 pound jack o lantern this way. Works.
Blessings,
Star must be a wonderful gardener!
