Natural way to get rid of flies?
Question:I need a natural way to get rid of flies.i have my patio area and there are a few flies buzzing around this always happens in the summer and in the front yard.thanks for any answers.
Answers:
Flies come around because something attracts them. Whether it's your trash can, flowers, dead bugs, the remains of your dinner or drinks, or something juicy decomposing in the mulch, that's what they're after. (The exception being horse flies, who are after your blood.)
It's hard to identify the attraction, but deadheading your flowers, raking mulch, carrying empty plates inside, and moving the garbage can help.
You also want to make sure you're not providing any breeding places for maggots, like pet food dishes, dead critters tossed into the woods, old birdseed, etc.
pull there wings off. Then they will be walks.
a swatter
I can't tell you why this works but it seems to work well. A lady I know keeps horses and so has a real fly problem. She hangs small plastic bags of water around her porch and it seems to keep the flies away. Just normal ziplock bags with half a cup or so of water in them hung about three feet off the floor.
No promises that it will work for you but it sure seems to help her porch.
