Plant for office with constant fluorescent light, but no sunlight?

Question:I'm looking for a plant, preferably one that I can grow from seed (I can start it at home), that will flourish in an office area with lots of fluorescent light but 0 sunlight. I also prefer plants that you can harvest the seeds from and replant them.

Something that will be happy in a small pot but will grow well in a bigger pot as well would be good, too.

Answers:
Plants love fluorescent lighting so you can pretty much pick any plant and be fine. Take a trip to your local greenhouse and see what they have new in houseplants. You can also look at some garden landscaping plants. I have some awesome red grass looking stuff that you are supposed to plant as a border plant that is in a pot hanging in my house. Grows great.
Trial and error may be your best bet on this project!
Have fun.

It would depend on whether or not you want something that will bloom. Any plant that blooms will probably produce seeds, but the problem in an office environment is that there are no insects
to pollinate the flowers, ie, no seeds. Grasses, bulbs, viney things, and ferns all do well indoors with proper watering.

African violets would be a good bet. They make flowers, have attractive leaves, are relatively small, and can grow from leaf cuttings. When you water it, try not to get the leaves wet. It can leave spots on them.
