Water spurting out??!?

Question:Last night when i went for a shower, i noticed there was water spurting out the tube connecting the water from the tap to the shower head and it wasn't just a trickle, it has never happened before and i tried to tighten it up as that seems to be the problem but it wouldn't secure in place, should i get the plumber in or can i sort this myself?? We have a shower curtain so i don't have to clean up puddles of water later.

Answers:
....try to use plumbers tape around the threads of the connections, this helps to seal the connections better..

It could just be the tube that is the problem. You can just go ahead and buy a new one. If that doesn't work you might want to see if there is something more going on and call a plumber.
You will need to do a close-up inspection and see if the connection is just leaking or the pipe has vibrated and caused a crack in it.
