How many of you turn the AC on at 80 degrees F?
Question:Hey, I'm just wondering how many people turn their Air Conditioning on when the high outside is 90 and the low is 80? Thanks

I do, it's usually really humid when it's hot like that and the AC sucks out most moisture in the air.
NO I don't have AC but No When I visit my parents that live In FL I turn the AC to 75
I live in Texas, and when it's hot (90 and above), I set my thermostat to 78 when I'm home, and 82 when I'm not.
Considering the price of gas and electricity. I'm waiting till I can't take it anymore. I have a basment that's really cool, so I'll take advantage of that....
I like it warm which is why I moved to Florida to begin with, so I keep my AC on about 80 in my house. It stays on all the time to keep costs down, but the temperature stays between 78-80. I dont like the cold and I dont like drafts.
I don't turn the AC on at all. The only time I do is when it is 100 degree.

I'd have it on WAY before that. Sometimes I turn it on just to remove the humidity from the house.

I work on large rooftop a/c units all day so when I come home I have my a/c set to 71 with the fan set to run at all times to keep the air moving . I love to be cold after working in the heat all day .
I keep mine on 80 all the time. I only turn it lower for a few minutes, if I'm using the oven or come in from outside really sweaty and hot. It's really more comfortable, healthier, and saves money!
