Do seeded watermelons taste sweeter?
Question:Do watermelons with seeds taste sweeter?
I love the convenience of seedless watermelons and always use them - for several years now. But a friend brought me some watermelon with seeds the other day and it was SO SWEET! Does anyone know - was this a coincidence or do seeded watermelons have more sugar/glucose?
Answers:
I've also found that seeded watermelons taste much sweeter and are often juicier than the seedless variety. Most of my family and friend also agree. Those that prefer the seedless ones are willing to sacrifice taste for the convenience of not having seeds. I don't have scientific facts but my tastebuds tell me seeded watermelons do indeed have more sugar.
well I think that the seedless watermelons are manufactured after they have grown.so the watermelon with seeds (that isn't manufactured)is probably better. It also may have been more ripe.
