Is it possible to grow a plant from a seed using only a jug of water?

Question:I wanted to try to grow a plant like this like a daisy or a strawberry plant

Answers:
According what type of plant. several water plants is a good choice. Most water plants require full sun for at least five hours.
Because a water garden is a miniature ecosystem, the plants, water, and sunlight must interact together to thrive. If the water you use is chlorinated, let it sit for 24-48 hours to permit any chlorine to evaporate after the container is first filled. As water evaporates, replace it with chlorinated water from the tap; chlorinated water helps to control algae until the garden is balanced, usually 60 days. "Balanced" means that the plant and animal life will hold algae in check.
A little research and trial and error, you can achieve your goal.
Good luck!
Happy water hyacinths!

Ive started seeds out on wet paper towel before then transfer to pot of dirt but as far as growing in a straight jug of water it wont work
