God I hate house work its so boring?

Question:how do you motivate yourself to get the work done ?

Answers:
I put an upbeat cd on and promise myself a treat at the end of it! Always works unless i decide to leave it and have the treat anyway!

Music and a Just Do It Attitude! Get a friend to help you too?
Get a f*ucking servant you cheap skate!
i am much happier doing mine when the sun is shining,i put on my music turn it up and that helps me be in themood hope this helps
I do it all at once - knowing that you're only a few hours away from a clean house keeps me going. Like you I find it so boring, but getting it all out of the way in one go makes it a bit easier to deal with somehow.
why not put some music on
Put on some of your favourite music really loud and promise yourself a treat when youve got it all done? And maybe take a few wee breaks as well... thats what id do anyway!
just see mess and dirt that makes me do it
dont no my partner dose it
Write a list of all the jobs that need doing. Sort out the jobs you hate the most to the jobs you don't mind doing and the jobs you like. Mix them up and pick one of each to do every day.
Its the best reason for having kids. we get them to do it. The fifteen year old and seventeen year old are getting quite good at it and its quite funny watching the 3 month old dragging the vacuum cleaner up the stairs.....
I make sure it's all done before the weekend so I know my weekedn ill be clear without the guilt of a dirty house (also means if anyone drops by unexpectedly I know theh ouse is clean

I also split it with my partner, while one of us is working, the other feels bad if they stop so neither of us dare to!
i put some wicked tunes on my stereo. and go! getting it done as fast as possible means i can get on with other things.
and make life easier for yourself by doing things like, making the bed as soon as you get up, always put ur dirty clothes in the washbasket and put a vac freshner in ur vaccum so that as you hoover it freshens the room (save a job and saves on cans of air freshner) etc etc.. plus dont stress urself if you miss summot or just cant be bothered. at the end of the day its just abit of cleaning, your life wont stop just because you didnt wash the pots this morning!

happy housechores!
Music is the answer pick your favorite CD and play at full blast until your done i play it this loud so i can hear it even while I've got the hoover on.
Here are a few tips that work for me

Easy - I keep cleaners handy do I can clean things quickly. I also bought a small stick vacuum. It does not clean as well but it so easy to use that I vacuum almost every week!

Schedule - Set a pattern for cleaning. Laundry on Monday, Clean bathroom on Tuesday, Vacuum on Wednesday or Thursday, etc

Early - I do things before everyone gets up so its out of the way. Then I can do other things.

Add fun - When I fold laundry, I turn up the music and sometimes dance!

Own the job - If its my job, I just need to do it. Don't postpone or complain about. However, if you can convince someone else in the house that its their job, even better!

The one thing that will defiantly NOT motivate me is setting aside several hours for chores. Yuck! I would rather do a little as I go so I can quickly move on to fun things!

Good Luck!
.put some music on .set your self a time limit for each task and at the end treat yourself with whatever you fancy
i love throwing on a pair of jog bottoms a vest, and turning on the radio. open all the windows and get started. what motivates me the most is when I'm finished i know come 7.30 pm it's all done and i can have a hot bath, have a glass of wine and sit down watch TV and everything looks and feels so much better. i relax more and enjoy it knowing its done. (mind i only do a real clean once a week, the rest of the time its a quick dust..lol...i'm not a tidy freak.)
