Which are your favourite bedding plants and why ?
Question:uk
Answers:
I've recently put it french marigolds, i love the smell and prettiness of them. Also fuchsia's are gorgeous.
I used to use Marigolds a lot but now I prefer the more permanent flower bed and have a weed barrier covered in plum coloured slate with acers, lavender and heather.
NO MORE WORK! Whoopdydoo!
Carnations...I love the scent from them.
Marigolds & dahlias i love the bright colours.
I have to say that Geranium are probably my favourites. They remind me of when I was young and my grandmother used to grow them in her greenhouse. I don't remember her personally but I do remember the smell of the plants. It is kind of comforting in a way!
Other than that I really like Lavenders as bedding.
I love petunias and geraniums - so many flowers, nice and easy to keep, and they remind me of holidays in Greece.
I like:
Dahlias and a big variety of all the usual ones. Although I do prefer to purchase plants that grow year after year.
Succulents...like sedum, lamb's ear, aloe, and hen & chicks. I like them because the deer won't eat them. Also, the sedum blooms attract butterflies and they are evergreen, so have something nice to look at in the winter.
My favourite plants are hostas and begonias. They thrive in my garden shaded by many trees and shrubs.
Hpstas come back every year, have an amazing variety of leaf and colour variation. Begonias have to be planted every year in my climate. They have amazing staying poer and very intense colours.
Livingstone Daisies, they come in some fab colour. I like them because they open up and smile in the sun. Then when its dull they close and sleep
