Why has my 22 year old daughter got such a big head?

If you mean physically then don't worry everyone varies in shape and size after all what should we look like? If she is happy with herself then it's no problem.
If on the other hand you mean she has a big ego then this is either because she could be overly proud of herself or to cover low self esteem and poor confidence. She may think by putting herslef on a pedastool people have to accept her as an awesome creation. Try talking to your daughter, find out what her insecurities are and give her motherly reassurance. She probably craves your approval and acceptance so constantly over-tries to impress you. Maybe she feels like in the past she has failed you and now she just wants to be good enough. Although if you tell her off for trying instead of accept the behaviour as an effort for your appreciation she may just get an even bigger head.

Is it because she has a small (ish) body, thus making her head appear bigger than it really is?
if you mean she's physically got a massive head, make a doctor's appointment.
If you mean she's conceited, leave her alone....a few let-downs in life will sort that out (we've all been there)
Because she is 22 years old. Someday she will grow up and her head will shrink to normal size.
