Tile Vs vinyl?

Question:As far as waterproofing is concerned, is tiling a deck( with a room under it), more effective than using memberance material such as vinyl sheets made by companies such as Duradeck.

How about fiberglass. Puting a sheet of it on top of the plywood, and then some kind of finish. Are not boats made of fiberglass, so should not that be the most sure way of waterproofing, or are there things that I do not know about.

Answers:
We have a deck with a storage room underneath. We used fiberglass sheeting to waterproof. It's been there for about 8 years and still works like a charm.
