Is grade a leather better than grade b leather?
Question:i am buying a suite and the bloke in the shop said grade b is better than grade a is that right or am i being sucked in???

Grades of leather in retail shops is a price point only and will vary from shop to shop.
If he is telling you that A is better then that is how they have categorised their leathers. The best leather is full grain whether it is aniline style or pigment and with leather you will get what you pay for ie. the more the suite the better the leather and construction.
why not get him to tell you
just ask him what are the requirements to be classified grade a and b

mmmm.now I was under the impresion,like most things A is the better.I wouldnt if I were you buy until you know that they are not on commision and know their stuff...does that mean then ..grade z is still alive?
