Beetles on my blueberry bushes?

Question:There are these strange looking beetles I think that are munching down my blueberry bushes, and fast. There are a ton of them. They are a brownish reddish and they have white stripes on their belly. What are they and how do I get rid of them?

Answers:
I am also struggling with pests on the blueberries. Try a cordless vacuum for those pests, such as a Dustbuster. Be certain to empty and contain the bugs out away from the garden and into a carefully closed bag, into the trash. Also try insecticidal soap. I don't know what type of bug you have or your region; my bug is a white downy thrip or aphid#*! good luck.

There are a couple things you can get in the lawn and garden section of most stores called Bag A Bug. My dad has had a garden and all kinds of plants since before I was around and he swears by these. His garden looks awesome every year. There is also a powder that you can get a sprinkle on the plants that keeps bugs off.
