What can I put in a pool or pond to kill mosquiteos?

i find that if the water is circulating then the skeeters stay out..like a little fountain on the side..i have a cement fish that spits water back into the pond and since then i dont have a skeeter problem. i also have a few gold fish in there.


Check with your County Agent. He should be able to give you some good tips.
most fish eat mosquito nymphs so if you have fish in your pond they will sort them out
call your county and ask for Vector Control. They will give you some fish that are called, aptly, Mosquito fish. LOL. They are very interested in keeping them in check and will give you the fish for free.

I don't know what you call them exactly, but I have some floaters that look sort of like a donut. You can get them at Walmart Lowes, Home Depot, they float on top of the water and they keep away mosquitoes. They come in a package of 6 or 8. I used a couple of them last year and plan to again this year. They would be in the garden dept. or swimming pool dept. Maybe where they sell outdoor things that are used around water. Not expensive at all.
