I could let you borrow my German Shepherd...lol I have a sign on my front gate that reads "my German Shepherd can make it to the gate in 2.8 seconds.can you?" that way I am not getting nailed with liability that beware of dog sign implies.
Probably not!
no.
If they want to rob you they will. You can install some motion activated lights to help.
No. You need a security system at the very least.
Depends on the size of fence and if there is really dog there. Lots of people have those signs and I don't think many people worry about them unless they acutally see a dog on the property.
Try putting a "help wanted" sign on your door..That should keep most criminals away.
You mean even without a dog? Well, I think it would definitely be a deterrent. It will certainly make would-be thieves think twice.
Not if they are stealing dogs...
If someone wants to rob you, they will rob you unless another human physically stops them. Things like doors, windows, locks, fences, dogs are just something they are going to break and you are going to have to replace.
Im sure it would do a pretty decent job. Probably 8ft high is what i would reccomend. And if you think about it, they wouldn't be able to do much if they got into the gate, because there isn't a solid fence for them to hide behind. I would also recommend a sign stating that the home is protected by a security system.
Its a good start but get your hands on one of those fake boom boxes they look exactly like the real one they even have the blue strobe light on the bottom to top it off i would visit a couple of your local sucurity installation bisinesses and buy 1/2 a dozen of those ctickers thst say your property is protected by a security firm I have these on my home and ilive in pretty crap area and call it luck or deterring the thieving buggers in the right way or a combination of both i havent had an issue in three years Good luck and i wish the all the safety and protection for you and yor place of residence......
Depending on which country and state you live in , I`d say a shotgun would be more effective in keeping them out . In many cases , burglars are desperate for drug money ..... so desperate in fact , they`d be willing to risk being attacked by a dog if they feel there`s something of value in the house .
When the house is empty , an alarm system is your best bet . When you`re home ..... the shotgun is your friend . A dog and a chain link fence would also help to some extent .
If anything chain link would make it EASIER to get in chain link is easy to climb and the beware of dog sign is an invitation to a lawsuit should your dog bite someone. Law will look at it like this by having a beware of dog sign you are admitting the dog has potential to bite. A friend of mines family had a beware of dog sign someone hopped the fence got bit sued my friends parents and won 110,000 dollars. Messed up but the law looks at beware of dog signs as the owner knows the dog will bite so you would be liable
here in the "United State Of Texas" we use the Smith and Wesson security system..called a 44 magnum.
