Why do hot tub commericals show people in them outside in the winter?
Question:I've noticed they show people in them outside surrounded by snow. Wouldn't that be freezing? Even if your bottom half is in the tub your top half has to be cold when its like 20 degrees out. Or not? Or when you are walking back in in a wet bathing suit? Any1 know?

Being from Minnesota, I can tell you that the water temp in a hot tub keeps your WHOLE body warm. Sitting out on a snowy night in the hot tub is one of the most relaxing things I have ever done. Where we lived, you could watch the Aurora Borealis, listen to the wolves howl back and forth and see every star in the universe. I cannot describe the beauty and comfort that that brings. We have done it when the outside temp is -20 degrees and can assure you, it is wonderful and quite warm. And if you do get a little cold, just submerge and ahhhhhhhhh. Oh, and also, it's a great selling point to get people to buy your product...LOL!

No, you guys. I live in Montana and it's cold here from about September to June. It's awesome to have a hot tub here. You just leave it running all winter, otherwise you would crack it. Yes, it snows, and we get in it. You run from the house in the cold to the hot tub and jump in. It's awesome. Sometimes we even get out, roll in the snow, and get back in. That's really good for your blood circulation. Anyway, the hot tub is the only real joy we have around here in the cold winter. I know lots of people that have them here.
Who wears a swim suit in their spa? Just kidding. There is nothing better than spending a day on the slopes skiing and the evening in the hot tub relaxing your sore muscles.
Trust me, if you had a hot bath inside, to the temperature that really qualifies as hot, you'd feel so stuffy you'd want to be outside... Someone with a hot tub outdoors is so lucky. Any self respecting Japanese couldn't live without taking a hot bath every day, even in summer.
Put it this way... we live by our blood circulating, If so, then wherever we warm that blood is a plus, because it is then circulated to the rest of our body.
So, that is also why the best way to protect our extremities is to bundle up from the inside out...
