How to get rid of water boatmen bugs in my pool?

Question:I have water boatmen bugs in my pool and i have scooped some of them out with my skimmer and killed them. My pool has perfect water chemistry balance and i do use an algicide called "Back-up".
I have shocked the pool and had the pool levels about 10 with the chlorine for several days and still the little suckers are still in my pool. Does anybody have any ideas?

Drain it, stomp on them, and fill it back up.
