Is it legal to place the outlet drain for a central air conditioner condenser inside a household?

Question:my central air unit has a outlet drain for the condenser above the bathtub in the bathroom, which drips yellow liquid into the tub at times. is this a health hazard and is it against code? i have only ever seen the drain outside of households before.

Answers:
Not sure why it happens but, it seems that drains from AC units (and melting ice) causes bacteria to form faster than regular water. I would redirect it to the outside.

No its not illegal but most of the time that drain would be considered an auxiliary drain,it is in case your primary drain gets blocked you wont get water damage. You should check your unit to see if it has 2 drains and see if one is not blocked up or not,
