Why would someone be in your attic? If you seriously think someone who is uninvited is in your attic I suggest you call the police. If you are hearing noises most likely it is an animal...which can be dangerous also.

If you're serious... you might want to smoke him out. Or use a stink-bomb and hear him cough/gag. Your best bet is to call the police. Anytime you think there's an intruder in your house, have the authorities check it out.

Do you have a reason to think that some one is in your attic? And do you think they are alive?
Go and check or send a dog up there or call the police depending on your reasons to believe there is some one up there.

Depends what makes you believe something is up there. Either call police, hire a pest control expert, or a handyman based on what problem most likely is -- based on your observation.
