Question:okay well out front of my house we have these beatiful little flowers, but our neighbor's cat, tipper, keeps coming into the little bed that they sit in and poops.then he digs up the flowers, how do I get him to stop,I want my flowers to grow!

Answers:
There are some products you can buy to repel dogs and cats, but you could try a couple of other things too. One is to put aluminum foil on the dirt for awhile - cats hate that
and won't step on it b/c of the noise. Or, if you can handle the smell for awhile, put moth balls out in that area - cats hate the smell. Maybe if he can be trained to stay out he'll find somewhere else to go and you won't have to live w/these "solutions" very long. Good luck!

Talk to your neighboor about it in an orderly manner. You have nothing to lose if you are polite to your neighbor.
There are products available that discourages cats and other animals like dogs and squirrels, it tends to be stinky stuff you put around the edge of your garden. You can try covering it with chicken wire to discourage the cat. And you can talk to the folks who own the cat and tell them their cat is loose and running amuck in your garden. Call local authorities and ask them about the problem, because you should have the right to call animal control and have the cat picked up, especially if it's damaging your property. They might pay attention if they have to pay 80 bucks to get kitty out of the pound. Sorry to say, some people just don't take care of their pets.
Plastic bottles half filled with water, 1 litre bottles and remove label, they crackle in heat and cool, also, old cd's on a stick, cats don't like reflection!
you will have to talk to your neighbour & tell them your problem. we had the same problem in our neighbourhood. we talked to the neighbour that owned the cats & pointed out that it is against city bylaws to let the cats run at large without a licence. we ended up calling animal control & they placed some cat traps & caught the little poopers. The neighbour ended up selling her house & moving outside the city limits so her animals could roam free.
