Bluebottle invasion help!?
Question:my sons an avid fisher he accidently lost a few maggots in the house and we thought we`d caught most of them but obviously not we are invaded with these horrid things and the alien like flies that havent formed properly lucky enough these alien ones have no wings but there comin from all overthe back hall tried all the sprays and sticky strips but to no avail can anyone help pleaseee

saucers of really strong coffee helps.lol not for you for the flies...they are attracted to it, they fall in and drown. It does work give it a go.
just leave them! spiders will come!!
phone the local council, pests department they can get rid for you cheaper than trying all these sprays
Get a jack russel!mine eats flys. or get out the hoover! suck them up!
Close the doors and windows and get out the vacuum.
Not only will you eventually rid yourself of these irksome pests but you will have some theraputic fun meantime.
Eww I had a similar problem when a squirrel died in our attic! The bluebottles looked like a scene from Hell!
We battled with them with Raid & a vacuum cleaner every night for days, then pest control came to get rid of the squirrel. Eventually the bluebottles went away, but I've been left with a giant phobia... ICK

Been there! Maggots move amazingly quickly and they're under the fridge before you know it. It's OK - they won't breed a second generation but it can take up to three weeks for them all to hatch out.
