Flea Problem!! HELP!?
Question:Our house is covered in fleas. We fogged it twice. We made the cats leave outside. After we fog, they keep coming back. Is their anything we can do! ( outside the grass is covered,too)

Feed Brewers Yeast with Garlic to the cats, found at any pet store. The garlic acts as a natural repellent through their body.
Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum, and get the dirty vacuum collections out of the house immediately. Shampoo your carpets, etc. Vacuum more.
In the yard sprinkle Ortho brand SEVIN dust. This dust is safe also if it is used in moderation on your pet. It will however dissolve in the rain which causes it to lose its potency, so you would have to repeat it. Also, if your neighboring yards have pets, the fleas are in their yard to so you would have to constantly treat. The fleas will attach to your pant leg and ride in to your house on you.
The fleas lay eggs in your house which hatch later so for at least 3 months, you should constantly vacuum and occasionally shampoo the rugs.
I did this process 2 years ago and I have 2 indoor cats. I have had no sign of a single flea since and have not used any form of powders, sprays, or repellents since. The fleas seem to stay over at the neighbors on their outdoor pets now.
It seems like a lot of work at first but it pays off in the long run.
You need to treat the entire house, yard and cats. Even if you kicked the cats out, you are bringing fleas in on your clothes everytime you walk through the yard. When you fog, make sure to buy the kind that kills the eggs too. Treat your cats with Advantage or one of the other flea medicines from the vet. Hartz products or flea collars will not work to get rid of an infestation of fleas.
Your vet should sell products that treat the inside of your house, killing fleas and eggs. Also, try this.before going to bed put a dinner plate on the floor in an area where you believe there are fleas. Pour water on the plate and add a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Now, put a small lamp over the plate (desk lamps work well) and turn the lamp on. This should be the only light on. The fleas are attracted to the light and when they jump towards it, thay fall onto the plate and drown. You still need to treat the yard and animals too. Good luck!
vacuum carpet and furniture get some diatomaceous earth not the kind for swimming pools and rub in the cats fur keep out of the eyes go to a nursery that sells organic get a sponge that has beneficial nematodes soak in water and spray your yard
Been there, done it all!!! use advantage, or frontline plus Forget about outside. the treatment on your cats will eventually kill the fleas once it gets into there system. once the flea bites the animal he will die and so will all the eggs. Remember, fleas are coming in by way of your cats with free transportation. They are not knocking on the front door to get in. Spent a lot of money on outdoor sprays, treatments and didn't work. Use it and give time.
