What purpose do lovebugs serve besides getting all over my car?

i know what you mean.When i lived in La.I took some vaseline and spread a thin coat over the front of my car,so they wouldn't stick so bad.the lites too.Be sure to clean the radiator good when you wash your car,they get caught in it and it will run hot.I miss that now---a little.
