Sewing machine?

Question:whats the best type of sewing machine to buy. not to expensive but a good one.
hopefully unver 200$ but it can be more then that.
any ideas?

Depends on what you're using it to do.
Regular sewing: clothing, curtains, etc, you need a simple straight stitch/zig zag/buttunholer. You can get a basic machine at Sears for $100.

if you get a basic from sears, be sure to pay the extra for the free arm. it makes hemming a pair of pants a whole lot easier.
