Where can I take dead batteries?

Question:I hate just throwing them...and I have a 4 year old so we go through a lot of batteries!

Is there any where I can take them to so that they cab dispose of them properly?

Answers:
I work at staples, we take Batteries, Electronic equipment, ink cartridges etc... if you don't have one in your area, I would try the computer sales/service oulets or other larger electronics stores.

Any recycling center for your county excepts them. If it is a cell phone battery just take it to a cellphone store or post office and they will take recycleable batteries.
I take mine to Whole Foods. They have bins in the front of the stores for them.
look for recycling centers in your area, they probably collect them, if not, try your library, mine takes batteries, there's a box for them at the entrance!
