Sweet 16 b-day help?
Question:hello their im having a sweet 16 b-day exactly 1 month from now ( its aug.4) and i need a theme for my birthday !! im really into asian. things especially japanese and i wanted to know if their r any cakes,or decorations out their that have like an asiany flavor 2 it! and if u happen to find any please send me a link!
ps.im having a cook out outside on my deck and i was gonna hang up cherry blossom paper laterns out)

Well there are a lot of Japanese cakes! Google "japanese cake" or "Japanese backery" and you will see how many recipes you can find.
I love your idea. Definitely do the cherry blossom paper lanterns - why not around them have your Dad hang a heap of Christmas fairy lights all around as well. You can buy big paper umbrellas from asian grocery stores - hang them upside down from the ceiling with draped pink silk banners from them to the corner of the room / deck area. You can get a heap of chinese take-a-way containers from your local fabric/craft store and use them as goodie bags for your guests to take home. You have to have a big platter of fortune cookies and maybe have your local chinese restaurant make you a big lot of egg rolls, fried spring rolls etc. Decorate your tables with imitation cherry blossom branches.
