We have a serious mosquito problem at our campground. Any ideas?
Question:My campground is run like a co-op and we have tried everything. We tried the products recommended that you put in all standing water (I think it was the first of April) and things were fine until a week ago. They were going to repeat the process, but I doubt if it will solved the problem. Spraying is too expensive for us. A lot of us have the propane units that help, but not much. We've eliminated most standing water, but still they breed.

But you can't use the other stuff
you can try a mosquito shield for the garden such as this: http://www.gardenwinds.com/product_info.
you say that you have a mosquito problem well where you do not want the mosquito's you need to buy a mosquito net
Cut back small unneeded flowers, shrubs, and underbrush. Put out bird feeders to attract mosquito eaters, frogs are good ones too. Maybe some bug zappers. There is a flower that gives off a scent that is suppose to drive off mosquitos. I dont know the name of it wish I did. You may check with your local garden center Im certain they can help you.
I cant be outside those little devils eat on me all the time.

The plant is a citronella plant that can be purchased at most garden centers.
Very good suggestions. I can not think of anything better other than having your area sprayed.
