How do I set-up an Inflatable pool?
Question:I want to set-up my inflatable pool this weekend, but it is a pain to set-up.
Does anyone have tips on making it easier? How to make sure the ground is level. Getting the pool spreadout evenly. Any advise to make it go smoothly. I'm basically alone in setting it up as my husband want nothing to do with. (Unless I wanted bring it to the dump..LOL)
Also any tips on taking it down and storing for the winter would be great too. Summers are too short in the NE.
Thanks

Inflatable pools are the easiest. I put up mine all by myself every year. First I just pick the levelest part of my yard and pick up all the debris like rocks and sticks and than i put down a heavy duty tarp. Than I just lay the pool out on top of it and try to get it as even as possible. Than I just blow up the top and fill it. I usually takes me @ 1 hour to get the whole thing up and going. One thing I realized is that no matter what it won't be exactly level.
And as for taking it down, that's the pain. i hang mine on the fence and hose it, than let it dry for days than roll it up and stick it in a plastic tarp until the next year.
Good Luck
Well, leveling it will be easy with some sand, dirt will work too, but the sand can usually be spread thin enought that the lawn comes back through it quickly, if you store it for the winter, remember that everywhere there is a seam (folded or rolled there is a chance for cracking if it gets too dry, patches are available, but after a couple of seasons some pools are better off replaced. Y ou can use plywood to level the pool, but it will be very uncomfortable, and the wood may sliver into the inflatable sides, and puncture it.
