How do I get rid of ants they are everywhere!?
Question:I have ants everywhere in my house and on my porch. There is no garbage or sugar that they can get into so I have no idea what they are after. I spray with bleach everywhere so I can kill them, but the next day there they are again! I tried all types of ant traps, but that doesn't work either. Please help me with these damn ants!

There are several things you can do. One is to plant mint around the porch, as ants do not like the smell. You can also pour boiling water in the nest and it will kill the Queen and the worker ants will leave. I had to do this at the beginning of Spring. Also -- and this sounds stupid but it works in the house. Put Bounce dryer sheets under appliances on the counter top--like the microwave and toaster etc. And put them under the refrigerator and any place where you see them most. It works. It usually takes 2 or 3 days to notice a difference but I do it all the time when I see ants and I don't have any very often, Good luck.
when i moved to california I discovered what ants truly were... it was gross... they were every where... they were even coming out of the light switches...
i tried every natural home remedy i could find... after a few weeks i went to the kitchen and found my white floor looked like a dalmation for ants... ewww makes me shiver remembering...
the only thing that worked was a professional bug guy... i do believe in the environment... but it was making me crazy...
one visit and it was done with... as i didnt want a repeat i had him come back every six months or so...
money well spent...
