Plastic bags- what can I do with them??
Question:I think I have a drawer full of about 150 plastic grocery bags. I have been refusing them and using cloth bags, but my fiance always takes more, haha.
I was wondering if you had any idea what I could use them for? We have a special dog waste composter, so we dont need them for dog poop... any other ideas?
Answers:
I use my own grocery plastic bags as file folders. I mark each one in magic marker. Each one contains a different bill for the yr. At then end of the yr I tie a knot and put them in a box. No fuss No muss
My family uses them for garbage can liners for smaller garbage cans in bedrooms and bathrooms.
I believe walmart will take plastic bags, at least the one by my house
I use them to pack my lunch in at work and use them for trash bags in my car.
I use them to line my smaller trash cans, like the one in the bathroom or office. They fit perfectly, and they're pretty much free. Helps you save on trash bags.
Recycle them - most stores that use plastic bags will accept them back for recycling.
Give them to goodwill or a Food bank these places always need plastic bags.
i know all the major grocery stores in my area (Los Angeles) such as VONS, RALPHS etc...have a bin for recycling these bags right where you walk in I know your not supposed to through them away or even put them in with your recycled trash bin.
