I recently got a cactus and now it's winter and it's starting to shrink! What am I doing wrong?

Question:

Answers:
Cactus are native to the desert, a hot and dry condition. So, it really does not like cold conditions like winter. Your cactus needs to be kept indoors, ideally where there is enough sunlight and heat source. Water only when the soil is thoroughly dry.

I have the same problem! Mine are a few cactus, a few aloe vera - they're all shrinking and looking really sick.
I was told by the local nursery guy to move them all to the corner where they can get the most sun. Not to over water them (which is easy to do he said). So maybe you can try that too. I have no idea though whether it will help. Apparently the sun is the key.
