How exactly do you install a chandelier?

Question:I'm thinking about getting one for my birthday, but the problem is that it comes with a cord that you are supposed to plug in to an outlet. Is there a way to install it so that you can just put it in the place of a lightbulb?

Doesn't the thing hang on your ceiling? You have to run the wire inside the wall & ceiling. There's technique to do that. People at hardware stores could probably tell you how to do it. Just don't zap yourself. Or if you have lighting fixture on your ceiling already use that wire.
