How can I prevent pests from my garden without chemicals?

Question:I have a garden and some of my plants are getting eaten on the leaves. I think they are snails but I am not sure. I would rather not use chemicals.

Answers:
There are types of plants that repel pests (ie marigolds are supposed to repel mosquitos). I would try to look up some other plants. Also things like crushed red pepper boiled and diluted in water works on some plants too to keep bugs away.

Snails are attracted to beer which kills them dead sans the chemical risk. Put out a few jar lids full of Bud and it can even be stale and place them at the base of plants you wish to protect.
you need to get a book about organic gardening. one thing you might try is a spray bottle with 10 parts water and 1 part soap and spray the bugs, not saturating the leaves.
dig a hole put a large paper cup in it fill with beer the snails will do the rest
good luck BOB
Last year I had a problem with aphids, and I know that vinegar, water and lemon juice helps. Salt will usually dehydrate slugs or snails (since they're mostly water anyway)
