Ficam W is a pesticide. It was a very good and reasonably safe one that was effective on a vast number of pests, but unfortunately, it was taken off the market a few years ago. The reason was what the EPA considered a labeling problem. The label still said it killed German Cockroaches, but they had become immune to it. It would have cost the manufacturer upwards of $10 million to have the EPA approve a new label, so they stopped selling it. I know it sounds ridiculous, but that's the U.S. Government for you.
Rolly Pollies require moisture. They live under wood, blocks, dense grass etc. Anywhere that holds moisture. Keep the area around your house as dry and free of debris and clutter as possible. Try treating the perimeter of your house with lawn insect control granules. You spread them like fertilizer. Just follow the label directions carefully.
To keep them out, seal up the doors. Good weather stripping and a door sweep will help, and save on your utility bills.
"Why ?" is the important question . Please identify "rolly pollies" . Indiscriminately spraying SOMETHING, might make you feel better, but it won't neccessarily solve your problem, .if it is a problem.
As you would be spraying a neurotoxin to get rid of rolly pollies, perhaps you should evaluate whether they are really a problem. Most insecticides work by inhibiting an enzyme called acetylcholinesterase which is also present in humans. This means insecticides are poisonous to us too.
Check this website out for some non-toxic (or less toxic anyhow) ideas for getting rid of pests. It's from the University of California, and so geared towards that area, but works for others. Anywho, good luck and be careful. http://ipm.ucdavis.edu/pmg/menu.homegard...
