Who is my gas and electric provider?

Question:I have just moved into a flat, and although there is a gas and electric supplier, we have no idea who is billing us for it. Who do we phone to find out and set up the details?

Answers:
You should ask the flat owner who supplies gas and electric in your area, if not, try asking a neighbor.

I work on the phones for British Gas and get this question every day. My advice is to call Transco who are now known as National Grid Gas and your local Electricity Distributor.
These numbers can be found in the local phone book under useful information.
The estate agent should also be able to tell you or you could just wait for the bill to come but the best option is to the above as you will need to let the supplier know you have moved in asap as they will need accurate meter reads so that you do not get charged for other tennants useage.
have a look at ur meters the suppliers names should be on there and then fone the companies from there.
The meters will have a number on them , ring them and they will tell who to get in touch with xx
