How to prevent earthworms entering inside home?

Question:After rain we have noticed at least about 10 earthworms entering home thru tiny gaps at the end of windows in our newly built home just a few months back. Contacted our pest control person and he tells us he has never heard of earthworms entering home? When we take those worms and throw them out those worms die in a few seconds !

Answers:
I doubt they're earthworms. Earthworms need a moist surface to navigate...If they become dry they will die mithin ten to fifteen minutes.
