Threading a singer 636 sewing machine?

Question:how do I properly thread. tell me everything leading up to me starting my project

Answers:
It would probably be a good idea to purchase a manual, they are available for sale on line for $15. That way you will be able to actually use the machine properly. I had a Singer Touch N Sew machine a long, long time ago. Here's the best I can advise: Place the spool on the spindle and put the holder against it so it stays on. Then take the thread, go through the top guide and then around the little button doo-hickey catching the spring so and then around the tension knob. Then go up through the looper thingy and down to the needle, putting the thread behind all the little loops that keep it from going all over the place. Here's a picture where you can see the thread. Good luck!

Although this may not be the exact machine as yours, it is a very good description of threading, just disregard the "twin needle" stuff at the bottom. Most machines thread on the same principal.

Most likely this diagram is the same for yours.
Good luck to you.
