Trying to convince my parents to get a pool this summer..what are the average costs associated with pools?

Question:Aside from the initial construction costs, what are some common costs associated with pools? Thanks for the help.

Answers:
Initial cost is the hardest part to overcome. Once you are past that the cost to operate a standard pool (no heater) can be less than $200 per season. If it has a heater then the price goes up quite a bit due to the gas use to keep the water warm.

it depends really i mean plastic pools have to have the water changed regularly i mean the ones that are built not dug also there is poles and attachments for cleaning, chlorine, and pool vacuum, and ph tablets that stuff can be costly over time plus a pool alone will cost you around 8,000 if it is dug
