The even more stupid plants at work!?
Question:Before I asked what I could do to get ride of the gnats in the plants at work. Well, we just put them outside and some of them a THRIVING! But the other realy didn't like it. But... it still has bugs in it. What else could I do to get gnats out of office plants? Sort of taking them outside and making a sacrifice to the plant gods(because I will do it). What can I put in the soil, or what can I do to just get the bugs to die or go away. I HATE THOSE DAMN BUGS! Also, would a bug bomb be a good idea?

I am asking the same question about my houseplant! I thought they looked like gnats but then I thought I was wrong because... why would they hang-out there? So far I've heard twice that you can spray the soil with a bit of dishsoap and water. I'm trying to find out amounts now. If I get any good info I'll let you know. Could you do the same?
Hi Jenny. I just got off the phone with a very reputable Nursery in my area. What we have are called Fungus Gnats. They live in the top layers of soil and show up when the top inch to inch and a half of soil are not allowed to dry out between watering. She reccommended a natural spray one brand is Schultz but the main ingredient that you want in it is (pyrethrins). Also, if yours are flying around the plant (mine thankfully aren't yet) you can lay sticky pest strips in the soil to catch some of them. And keep this plant away from your other plants, they migrate. Yuck! Please let me know that you received this reply, I'm not sure this will get to you. I hope this works for both of us. : ) Michelle
